TYS CREATIVE
Tin Yen Studios is now TYS Creative
to reflect our 14 years of continuing growth and specialization
as a visual branding and design studio providing creative
solutions from print to interactive media, from full-blown
corporate identity through all the points of brand expression
in between.
At TYS Creative, we work closely with our clients to cultivate
a strategic marketing relationship and offer design solutions
that can deliver impact, recognition, consumer response and
enhanced corporate and product visibility.
TYS clients come from a broad array of industries—from
consumer electronics to the entertainment and toy industries.
Some clients are start-ups while others are Fortune 500 companies.
Just a few of our clients include Epson, Mattel, Disney, Samsung,
Startech.com, Seven Blue Seas and U.C.L.A.
EXECUTIVE
TEAM
Tin Yen
Tin Yen has more than 14 years of experience in the graphic
design industry.
He began his career working for renowned designer Saul Bass
of Bass/Yager &
Associates designing logos, packaging and promotional materials
for
companies such as AT&T and Lawry’s. He later worked
at White + Associates
defining a specialty in branding, packaging and point-of-purchase.
He has
developed branding and design solutions in both print as well
as interactive
media for clients such as Epson, Mattel and Samsung. Tin Yen
is also an
instructor at UCLA Extension Visual Arts.
Byron
Lee
Byron has developed global branding and branding guidelines
for clients include
Disney Consumer Products, Disney Feature Animation, Mattel,
Warner Brothers
and Universal Music Group. Byron brings to TYS Creative over
9 years experience
with The Walt Disney Company where he was the design manager
of the brand
image team in Disney Consumer Products. There he developed
new and existing
brand concepts that established the direction of signage,
packaging and advertising
for Consumer Products. He managed a team of 8 designers in
the creation of guidelines
that defined and supported the Disney Princess and Disney
Baby sub-brands unifying
the global presence of the Disney brand with retailers such
as Target, Walmart, Kmart
and Payless Shoes. Byron has also created branding and packaging
for over 30
published titles which helped established Disney Interactive
as a consistent and
notable brand in the interactive gaming industry. Prior to
The Walt Disney Company,
Byron has developed brand and packaging for Kenwood, Hanna-Barbera,
Epson and
Phillips Interactive. Byron is a graduate of The Art Center
College of Design.
Ching
Lau
Ching Lau has an expertise in multiple areas of interactive
and print media
for corporate and entertainment clients. He has been involved
in creating
innovative and dynamic solutions in branding, collateral and
interactive.
Ching has been a design consultant for companies such as Diversified
Marketing Concepts, Entertainment Earth and InToyz. At TYS
Creative he has
been involved in authoring and development of CD Roms and
web sites for
companies such as Epson and Flight Environments. Ching is
a graduate of Cal
Poly Pomona.
Raymond
Leung
Raymond Leung specializes
in web site interface design and integration as
well as corporate presentation solutions. Raymond brings to
TYS Creative his
expertise in the automotive and automotive specialty markets.
He has created
web site and presentations solutions for companies such as
INX, Trust and
Altoon and Porter. Raymond is also a graduate of Cal Poly
Pomona.
Sandra
Chang
Sandra has over 14 years experience as a new media designer/illustrator
and artist.
She is proficient in both digital and interactive media as
well as the traditional arts.
She has worked with clients including Mattel, Disney, Saban
Entertainment, Universal
Studios, Universal/Seagram’s and Nestle. She has also
worked extensively in the
comic book industry writing and illustrating Aja Blu’s
Achilles Storm/Razzmataz, creating
the comic book series Akemi for Brainstorm Comics and Sin
Metal Sirens for
Fantagraphics Books/Eros Comix. She has also illustrated numerous
editorial articles
for Inside Kung Fu Magazine. She trains diligently in the
Martial Arts, earning two
black belts, one in Budoshin Ju Jitsu and the other in Northern
Eagle Claw Kung Fu.
She graduated from Columbia University with a degree in computer
science.
Yvette
Mah
Yvette Mah has worked in the graphic design industry for numerous
years
helping companies in packaging, publishing and other fields
achieve their
design and marketing goals. She has been able to use her bilingual
expertise
to help one of the largest Chinese food products company,
Wei-Chuan, in
their packaging and publishing needs. She is fluent in English,
Cantonese
and Mandarin both written and spoken. Yvette is a graduate
of Cal. State Los
Angeles.
Rebecca
A. Mundy
Rebecca Mundy brings over 10 years experience in advertising
account
management and new media production and marketing. Before
coming to TYS
Creative, she worked as the New Business / New Media Manager
for the Los
Angeles based multicultural advertising agency Muse Cordero
Chen & Partners.
A graduate of Yale University with a Masters Degree in East
Asian Studies
and fluent in Japanese, Rebecca’s work has focused on
the Asian market, both
locally and internationally. Some of her professional accomplishments
include heading up marketing communications for the J.Paul
Getty Trust’s
Getty Center for Education in the Arts, serving as the managing
editor for
the launch of US-China Business Magazine, and directing public
affairs for
the Japan America Friendship Foundation. Rebecca also teaches
at the
University of Southern California as a lecturer in web development
and
multimedia as part of the ITP program in the School of Engineering.
